LA Fitness Corporate Membership: How to Claim Your Employee Discount

LA Fitness Corporate Membership

LA Fitness offers a corporate wellness program with discounted rates, which cost $29.99 to $34.99 per month and waived initiation fees.

To check eligibility, log into your workplace benefits portal, search for fitness perks, or you can ask your HR department, because there is no public list of corporate partners on LA Fitness site.

What a Corporate Membership at LA Fitness Is

A corporate membership is a discounted gym access deal between LA Fitness and an employer.

In that, a company pays LA Fitness a flat fee to keep enrollment open for staff year-round.

The standard corporate rate that LA Fitness markets to employers comes with Premier Nationwide access at $34.99 per month and no initiation fee.

Some companies negotiate better terms, and I studied a few documented cases; they showed rates as low as $29.99 per month with full nationwide access.

But the exact cost depends on what your employer agreed to; that’s why two people at different companies can both have “corporate memberships” and pay different amounts.

Note: You’ll be paying an annual fee of $59 around two weeks after enrollment, the same as any other membership.

You can check my LA Fitness Membership Deals and Discounts guide.

Three Ways to Find Out If Your Employer Has a Deal

Call HR for an Inquiry

LA Fitness doesn’t publish a list of corporate partners anywhere. I checked a lot, and found no public database, so the only way to confirm your employer’s status is through one of these three:

Check Your Benefits Portal First

  • Log into the same platform you use for health insurance, 401(k), or paid time off.
  • Search for “gym,” “fitness,” or “wellness.”

If a deal exists and your HR team set it up properly, you’ll find an enrollment link or a voucher download; this is the fastest way to find out about a discount gym membership.

Ask HR Directly

Some partnerships exist but never get communicated to staff after the initial announcement.

So you can do an email and ask, “Do we have a corporate wellness arrangement with LA Fitness?” They’ll give you a direct answer.

However, include the words “LA Fitness” specifically because some HR teams manage multiple gym partnerships and won’t know which one you mean otherwise.

Search Old Company Communications

Wellness benefits often get announced once in an all-hands email or onboarding packet.

So, just open your mailbox and search for “LA Fitness,” “gym benefit,” or “fitness wellness” going back a year or two.

If all three come up empty, your employer either doesn’t have the program or hasn’t set it up yet.

How Enrollment Works Once You Have the Code

Enrolling in gym

Corporate enrollment requires either a digital confirmation ID or a printed voucher, depending on how your employer runs the program. Once you have that from HR, the next process will take about ten minutes.

Enrolling Online

  1. Go to lafitness.com/corporatewellness/, enter the confirmation ID or voucher number along with your zip code,
  2. Select your home club
  3. Fill in your details and set up billing.

After that, the discounted rate and waived initiation fee will activate immediately, and your first bill will reflect the corporate price, not the standard rate.

Enrolling in Person

If your company issues physical vouchers instead of digital codes, bring them along with a valid photo ID to any LA Fitness location.

Front desk staff will handle corporate enrollment, which also gives you the chance to tour that specific club before committing.

Adding Family Members at the Corporate Rate

If you want family members to join at the same corporate rate, each person needs their own separate voucher.

They cannot be added to your account the way standard family add-ons work.

You can also ask HR for additional vouchers when you pick up your own, because some employers issue a fixed supply and extras aren’t always easy to get later.

See my LA Fitness Family Membership Cost guide for how the add-on structure compares to individual enrollments.

What You Give Up When You Leave the Job

Your membership stays active even when you leave a company. LA Fitness doesn’t cancel your account, but your fee rate gets changed.

Corporate pricing is tied to your employer’s agreement, so if you’re no longer employed, you’re no longer eligible for the discounted rate.

Besides this, LA Fitness may revert your account to standard pricing at some point after your employment ends.

You can contact your home club when you change jobs to understand what happens to your billing.

If you had a prior standard-rate membership before joining through your employer, some LA Fitness clubs will not reinstate your old rate when the corporate arrangement ends.

The corporate rate replaced it, and the old terms are gone; however, if you ever need to cancel, follow the steps in this Cancel LA Fitness Membership guide to avoid being billed for an extra month.

If Your Employer Doesn’t Have the Program Yet

Companies of any size can join the LA Fitness Corporate Wellness Program.

There is no minimum employee headcount, and the program costs the employer nothing because LA Fitness provides all the enrollment infrastructure.

If you want to get it added, send HR the employer signup link at lafitness.com/pages/corporatesignup.aspx.

Once your HR submits the form, HR will receive a call from an LA Fitness representative who handles setup from there. The employer won’t have to negotiate rates or manage enrollment manually.

Also, discounted gym access costs the company nothing; it’s a visible wellness benefit that costs nothing to administer.

Most benefits managers say yes when the cost to the company is zero, so you can ask your HR to join the program too if your company has no relation to LA Fitness.

Use Wellhub as an Alternative

wellhub corporate platform

If your employer offers Wellhub (formerly known as the Gympass), that’s another good way to join LA Fitness, and it works differently from a direct corporate membership.

Wellhub is a third-party wellness platform that negotiates bulk gym access for corporate clients.

Employees at participating companies can access LA Fitness through a Wellhub plan, often at rates below what you’d pay signing up directly.

The cost to you depends on which Wellhub tier your employer subsidizes, because some companies cover the Starter plan and discount all higher tiers by a fixed amount.

To check if your employer offers Wellhub, visit wellhub.com and enter your work email.

If your company participates, you’ll see available plan options.

Unlike the direct LA Fitness corporate program, Wellhub access covers a broad network of gyms beyond LA Fitness, which is for you if you travel or want flexibility across multiple gym brands.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a corporate membership at a gym?

A corporate membership is a discounted gym access arrangement negotiated between a gym chain and an employer.

The company pays a program fee to keep enrollment open, and employees join at a lower monthly rate than what’s available to the public.

At LA Fitness, the benefit means a waived initiation fee and a reduced monthly rate, though the exact terms depend on what your employer negotiated.

Does LA Fitness have a corporate discount list employees can search?

No, LA Fitness treats all corporate partnerships as private business agreements and doesn’t publish any directory of participating employers.

So, the way to confirm your company’s status is to check your benefits portal, ask HR, or call LA Fitness at (949) 255-7200 with your employer’s name.

Is my membership free if I work at LA Fitness?

If you work for LA Fitness itself, yes, for most staff, LA Fitness employees receive free membership with guest access as a standard employment benefit.

But if you had an existing paid membership before being hired, that membership gets canceled when your employee benefit activates, and your previous rate cannot be reinstated if you leave the company later.

Can I get the corporate rate in Canada?

LA Fitness operates locations in Canada, primarily in Ontario, and the corporate wellness program does extend to Canadian employees at companies with active agreements.

The enrollment process is the same, as we discussed, but pricing may differ from US rates, so you’ll have to confirm the specific terms with your HR team or with the Canadian location you want to use.

Does the corporate rate include guest privileges?

Most corporate programs come with Premier Nationwide Access, which includes one guest per visit as part of that plan tier.

However, the specific terms of your employer’s agreement determine what’s included, so you have to confirm this when you enroll.

Can I switch from my current LA Fitness membership to a corporate rate?

Sometimes, some clubs will convert an existing standard membership to the corporate rate when you present a valid employer voucher.

Others require you to cancel first and re-enroll through the corporate program, which may create a brief gap in access.

Contact your home club before doing anything and explain the situation so you understand the exact process before you cancel.
